A buyer broker works for you, the buyer. They are the buyer’s representative and handle protecting the interests, and executing the wishes, of the buyer. A traditional real estate broker is focused on listing properties for sale as opposed to finding listed properties to purchase. They are centered on the listing side of the transaction.
The buyer’s broker job is to get the buyer the lowest price on the best terms. The buyer broker will provide the true facts as to value, market/neighborhood conditions, and obvious physical defects of the home you’re looking to purchase. And most importantly, a buyer’s broker has an ethical obligation to put your interests first!
